B'desh 106-all out (30.3 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Pacer Ishant Sharma took five wickets to send Bangladesh crashing for 106 on Day 1 of the historic pink ball Test match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Friday.

The Indian fast bowlers once again tore through the Bangladesh batting line-up led by Ishant's brilliant 5-22. Umesh Yadav bowled a fiery second spell to take 3-29, while the menacing Mohammed Shami troubled Bangladesh with his bouncers to pick up 2-36.

None of the Bangladesh were able to come to grips with the pink ball as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals after electing to bat.

Liton Das, who made 24, was ruled out of the match after being hit on the helmet by a bouncer from Shami. He was ruled out of the match because of concussion and was replaced by Mehidy Hasan.

Shadman Islam was the top-scorer for Bangladesh with 29, with only three of their batsman managing to score in double digits.

It will be interesting to see how India's batsmen fare against the pink ball, given that twilight has taken over which is regarded as the most difficult period for batting in the day-night Test.
