Bangladesh elect to bat; India unchanged

Both teams are featuring in a pink ball Test match for the first time and the response from the fans in Kolkata has been great. The first four days of the historic Test match have already been sold out.

This is only the 12th Test match to be played under lights with the pink ball.

A silver coin, brought out specially for the game, was used for the toss.

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina along with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Bangladesh Cricket Board Chairman Nazmul Hasan and some of India's biggest cricket icons such as Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar are in attendance at the historic match.

Also present at the iconic Eden Gardens are a host of Indian sporting stars such as Olympic gold-medallist shooter Abhinav Bindra, six-time world champion boxer M C Mary Kom and tennis star Sania Mirza.
