India's fast bowlers once again took centrestage to leave Bangladesh reeling at lunch on Day 1 of the historic pink ball Test match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Friday.

Umesh took 3-29, while Ishant picked up 2-11 and Shami claimed 1-18 as Bangladesh were reduced to a lowly 73 for six in 21.4 overs at the lunch break on the opening day of the second Test.

Electing to bat, Bangladesh were rocked early as Ishant got Imrul Kayes (4) early before Umesh dismissed captain Mominul for a duck with Rohit Sharma taking a stunning catch at second slip.

Infact, Umesh struck twice in the 11th over as he bowled Mohammad Mithun (0) off an inside edge.

Mushfiqur Rahim also perished for a duck as the Indian pacers tore through the Bangladesh batting line-up.

Shadman Islam made 29 before he was caught behind off Umesh before wicketkeeper Saha produced a superb catch to get the wicket of Mahmudullah (6) off Ishant.

Liton Das stroked a fluent 24 from 27 balls before he was hit on the helmet by a quick short ball from Shami.
