NZ 348-all out (100.2 ovs) vs India 165 | Scorecard

Boult is providing a lot of entertainment with the bat. He watchfully defends the first three balls from Ashwin before he skips down and lofts the spinner back over his head for a six.

He then keeps strike with a single off the last ball to a huge cheer from the fans at Basin Reserve.

Shami is back into the attack. He goes for the yorker but Boult makes room and steers the low full toss through the covers for a four to race to 35 from 21 balls.

The next ball is pushed back past the bowler for a single to long-on and Patel does his job to perfection by seeing off the rest of the over.

New Zealand are 346 for nine in 100 overs, for an overall lead of 181 runs.

In the next over, Boult pulls a short ball from Ishant for two runs to deep midwicket.

Ishant ends India's frustration with the wicket of Boult, who looks to fend the bouncer but gets hit on the gloves and is caught by wicketkeeper Pant.

Boult smashed a quickfire 38 from 24 balls, hitting five fours and a six, to guide New Zealand to 348 all out in 100.2 overs, as the hosts grabbed a sizeable first innings lead of 183 runs.

Ishant was India's best bowler in the first innings as he claimed 5-68 in 22.2 overs, while Ashwin picked up 3-99.
