India 144-4 (65 ovs) & 165 vs NZ 348 | Scorecard

Boult is back into the attack as Vihari defends the first two balls on the off-side and then keeps out a short ball before he plays out the rest of the over with caution.

With the stumps approaching on Day 3, Rahane watchfully defends against Jamieson and then takes a single off the last ball on the leg side.

Boult gives Rahane some width as he drives it past point for two runs and then looks to block the rest of the over.

Boult showing great presence of mind as he stops the ball from Rahane and rushes back to the start of his bowling run up to give Jamieson another over before stumps.

Jamieson to bowl the final over of the day. He is bowling short from round the wicket as Vihari offers no shot to the first two balls before he nearly fends the third ball to short fine leg. Infact, Vihari had got the left gloves off the bat handle when the ball struck them, so he wouldn't have been given out anyways.

Another bouncer and this time Vihari ducks before Jamieson bowls a full delivery which is away from the stumps.

The last ball is short but slants across as Vihari rocks back and cuts it behind point for a four.

India finish the third day on 144 for four in 65 overs, still trailing by 39 runs.

Rahane showed great application to be unbeaten on 25 from 67 balls , while Vihari made 15 from 70 balls.

The duo battled hard in the post-tea session, as they put on 31 runs while playing out nearly 20 overs to keep the Kiwis at bay.
