India captain Virat Kohli has won the toss and elected to bowl against New Zealand in the first T20 International in Auckland.

India have gone in with three frontline fast bowlers in Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Shardul Thakur.

Yuzvendra Chahal swaps place with fellow wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav with left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja preferred ahead of Washington Sundar.

KL Rahul will keep wickets for India as Rishabh Pant is left out, with medium pace all-rounder Shivam Dube getting the nod at No 6.
