'It looks like a very good pitch to bat on'

The pitch looks like a true batting wicket with good bounce and the batsmen from both sides will be itching to get going.

"The pitch is a drop-in pitch and looks like a very good pitch to bat on. The seamers will not get really that much help while the batsmen will enjoy ball coming on to the bat," observes Indian batting legend Sunil Gavaskar in his pitch report.

"It is a drop-in pitch and won't break up much which means it will be good for batting throughout," reckons former New Zealand all-rounder Scott Styris.
