Australia beat India in convincing fashion to win the 2nd ODI by 51 runs and take a 2-0 lead the three-match series. 

Steve Smith scored a blistering century while the other top  5 of their batting line-up chipped in with half centuries as they scored a massive 389 for 5 in their 50 overs. 

In reply, India got off to a sedate start and just could not pick up the momentum. Even though Kohli and Rahul hit half tons, India were never really in the hunt as they failed to keep the required run rate in check. 

Cummins was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3 for 67. 

Maxwell bowls the final over and Chahal starts the over with a single before Saini clobbers the ball down the ground for a four. The batsmen then take four singles as 9 come off the over and India fall short by 51 runs.


Chahal is the new man in and after two dots he gets a single off a miscued shot as 2 come off the over.

Zampa back in the attack and after a dot, Saini gets a single before Bumrah is trapped LBW for a duck. 

Bumrah is the new man in while Saini has strike. A dot, a single and a dot to end the over as 2 runs and a wicket come off it. 




Maxwell in the attack now and Saini takes a single off the first ball.

After a dot, Shami is caught and bowled by Maxwell, he is out for 1.



Cummins on a hattrick as Shami comes in to bat. 

Cummins bowls a wide down the leg side. 

Shami then gets a single to cover. 

After a dot, Cummins bowls a beamer and umpire calls it a wide. 

Saini then takes a single before a dot to end the over as 4 runs and 2 wickets come off it.


Saini is the new man in but Hardik has strike.

Hardik out next as he tries to go big and is caught at long off. He is done in by the slower one. 


Cummins continues, Jadeja tries to go big but only manages to hole out to Maxwell at mid-off.
