IPL: Gayle, Mandeep hit 50s; Kings XI beat KKR

Kings XI Punjab win with seven balls to spare to register an eight-wicket victory over KKR. Mandeep Singh (66*) and Chris Gayle (51) guided KXIP to 150/2 in 18.5 overs to a fifth consecutive victory.
Earlier, Kings XI Punjab restricted Kolkata Knight Riders on 149/9 in 20 overs. Shubman Gill emerged as the leading scorer with 57 from 37 balls and stitched a crucial 81-run partnership with Eoin Morgan.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami was the standout bowler from KXIP, picking three wickets in his four-over quota.

Another good length from Shami, gets edge and gone! A good length delivery and it takes the outside edge of Karthik's bat and KL Rahul completes a routine catch. Karthik reviews it immediately. Snicko meter shows a spike at the exact moment the ball is next to the bat. On field decision has to be considered.
KKR lose third wicket. After two overs KKR are 10-3.
19:10 IPL: Kings XI win toss, invite KKR to bat
Kings XI Punjab skipper KL Rahul has won the toss, and they have decided to chase. They are unchanged.
KKR skipper Eoin Morgan said he would have chased too. KKR also stick to their winning XI. No Andre Russell.

19:00 IPL: KXIP look to sustain momentum
Kings XI Punjab will hope to keep the juggernaut rolling when they take on a resurgent Kolkata Knight Riders in a mid-table IPL clash, in Sharjah.
KXIP had roared back to form, snapping their five match losing-streak with a win over third-placed Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Since then the KL Rahul-led side has not looked back, defeating the top two sides in the tournament -- Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals -- besides Sunrisers Hyderabad.
However, they must also win their remaining matches for a shot at the playoffs.
KXIP have the in-form batsmen in skipper Rahul, who is the leading run scorer of the tournament, and Mayank Agarwal. The presence of flamboyant Chris Gayle has inspired the team, and since his inclusion in the playing XI, the Punjab-based outfit has not lost a single game.
KKR will also be all fired up after their comprehensive win over the formidable Delhi Capitals and would be desperate to keep the winning momentum going.
If KKR wish to seal a play-off spot, their batsmen need to step up, shrug off their inconsistency and win matches for the team. Barring Rana (81) and Narine (64), everyone else failed against DC.
