India captain Virat Kohli has won the toss and elected to bat against New Zealand in the second and final Test in Mumbai.

"This looks like a hard wicket, with not a lot of grass. With the sun out, it should be the best time to bat," Kohli said at the toss.

India have made as many as three changes due to injuries. Ajinkya Rahane, who led the side in Kanpur in the absence of regular captain Virat Kohli, was ruled out of the Mumbai Test, along with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and fast bowler Ishant Sharma.

Kohli, who missed the first Test, comes back in place of Rahane, while Mohammed Siraj takes the place of Ishant.

Off-spinner Jayant Yadav replaces the injured Jadeja.

For New Zealand, captain Kane Williamson misses the match with an elbow injury as Tom Latham leads the team in his place. All-rounder Daryl Mitchell comes into the team in place of Williamson.
