The Indian opening duo of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill will have their task cut against New Zealand's four-man pace attack in overcast conditions at the Ageas Bowl.

Rohit has played just one Test in England, and that too in the middle order, while the young Gill will be playing his first Test in the country.

India's top order will need to see off the new ball and ensure that they don't lose too many early wickets as they are a batsman light, going in with five bowlers -- three pacers and two spinners.
