Royals 76-2 (8 ovs) vs Punjab | Scorecard

Leg-spinner Adil Rashid comes into the attack. Samson immediately jumps down the track but inside edges the googly for a single to square leg.

Jaiswal also attacks the leg spinner as he reverse sweeps the second ball, another wrong one, over short thirdman for a four.

Two balls later, Jaiswal lofts a flighted delivery over the fielder at long-off for a six.

The young left-hander is beaten next ball as he tries the cut but the ball stays a touch low to go past the edge. He cuts the last ball but can't get it past the fielder at point, as 11 runs come from the over.

Porel comes back into the attack. He strikes with the key wicket of Samson, who throws his bat at a short wide delivery but gets the edge and wicketkeeper Rahul takes a splendid one-handed catch leaping to his right.

Samson walks back for four as Royals are reduced to 68/2 in the eighth over.

Liam Livingstone clips the first ball he faces for a single through square leg and Jaiswal is struck on the thighs by a quick short ball from Porel as he misses the pull shot.

Livingstone steers the fifth ball past point for a four before Porel bowls a wide down the leg side.
