South Africa snatched victory in a thrilling contest to edge India by four wickets in the 3rd ODI to sweep the series 3-0.

In a see-saw battle that went down the wire, South Africa edged India by four runs to win the 3rd ODI and sweep the series 3-0.

After losing an early wicket, Dhawan and Kohli put on a fight before the former was dismissed for 61.

Pant was dismissed for a duck before  Kohli and Shreyas put on a 38-run partnership. Once the two were dismissed, Suryakumar and Chahar put on a fight before Chahar was dismissed in the 49th over after making a quickfire 54. India eventually folded four runs short after Bumrah and Chahal got out as India took loss from the jaws of victory.

All credit to the South African bowlers who kept their cool even after the Indian tail took it down the wire.



With 6 needed to win, Pretorius back in the attack to bowl the last over.

Krishna is on strike and he starts the over with a single to short third man.

5  needed off 5 now and Chahal tries to go big, gets a top edge and is caught out for 2. India all out for 283. 


Krishna is the last man in as India need 7 to win.

After a dot, he gets a single to cover point.

Dot to end the over. India need 6 off the last over.




Phehlukwayo back in the attack and he bowls a loose ball but gets away with it.

He bowls another full toss and Chahal plays the ball to mid-off and scampers for a single. 

Bumrah then tries to go afer the slower ball but can only hand a catch to the fielder as he is dismissed for 12. India lose 9th wicket.
