Buttler scores ton in 2nd qualifier to take team to victory

Rajasthan Royals on Friday entered the final of Indian Premier League with a seven-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Qualifier 2 in Ahmedabad.

Jos Buttler top-scored for RR with 106 not out as they chased down the target of 158 with 11 balls to spare.

For RCB, Josh Hazlewood was the most successful bowler with figures of 2/23.

Earlier, RCB posted 157 for 8 after being asked to bat.

Rajat Patidar top-scored for RCB with 58 while captain Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell chipped in with 25 and 24 respectively.

For RR, Prasidh Krishna and Obed McCoy took three wickets apiece while Trent Boult and Ravichandran Ashwin got one each.  




Buttler gets the winning runs with a six! And Rajasthan Royals are in the final as Buttler finishes in style! 



Maxwell back in the attack as 10 needed off the last 3 overs.

Buttler starts the over with a single to the leg side. 

Hetmyer then plays the ball to backward square leg for a single. 

Buttler then gets a single to square leg for a single. 

Hetmyer then gets a single to long on. 

Buttler then pulls the ball to mid-wicket where he gets a couple.

He brings up his 100 with a single to cover point. A 100 in 59 balls! 

Rajasthan need 3 runs for victory now. 


Hetmyer is the new man in and he plays a dot as 8 runs and a wicket come off the over. 



18 needed off 24 and Hazlewood back in the attack. 

Padikkal takes a single and Buttler takes a single off a mishit.

Buttler then comes to the off side and plays the ball to fine leg for a four. 

A single to Buttler next before Padikkal is caught behind as he attempts a ramp shot. He is out for 9. Rajasthan lose third wicket.
