India 40-0 (10 ovs) vs NZ | Scorecard

Southee drops short as Dhawan has enough time to rock back and pull it through square leg for a four.

Southee immediately goes a bit fuller as Dhawan is happy to ignore it before he defends the next back to the bowler and keeps out the last two balls.

Henry has looked quite good with the new ball, as the Kiwis miss out the guile of the experienced Trent Boult in the early overs.

A good short ball from Henry just outside the line of off-stump as Gill avoids before he runs the fourth ball down to thirdman for one.

Dhawan down the track but can only defend Henry before he blocks the last ball.

Change in the bowling as Lockie Ferguson replaces Southee. Gill steers the first ball to thirdman for a single and Dhawan looks to do the same fourth ball but gets a thick outside edge which flies fine for a four.

In the next over, Gill plays a beautiful ramp shot, steering the short ball from Henry over the fence behind the wicketkeeper for a six.

Gill looks for another lofted shot down the ground but gets a thick outside edge which falls just short of the fielder at thirdman.

India have progressed well to reach 40 for no loss in 10 overs, with Gill on 19 and Dhawan on 20.
