SA 41-0 (10 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

India's bowlers have not enjoyed much luck with the ball narrowly missing the edge on a few occasions.

Siraj tries the slower bouncer which goes down the leg side and is called a wide.

Malan watchfully keeps out the first few balls from Siraj before he comes down and hits the pacer towards mid-on.

The last ball to de Kock moves away a long way, going past edge comfortably and wicketkeeper Samson has to dive to his left to stop it.

Avesh continues with India still looking for the initial breakthrough. He drops short which Malan easily despatches through square leg for a four.

He gets a thick inside edge off the last ball which goes for a couple of runs.

South Africa have done well to see off the first eight overs of Powerplay, as the visitors reach 28 for no loss.

First bowling change for India as Shardul Thakur replaces Siraj. He starts with a short ball which de Kock pulls for a single.

The next ball is full and swings move away as Malan goes for the drive but gets the edge which is out down by Shubman Gill at slip.

That was a straightforward chance and carried at a good heigh to Gill in the slips but he failed to hold on.

A single each to Malan and de Kock as Thakur gives away three runs in his first over.

Spin introduced as debutant leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi comes into the attack.

The first ball is a googly which de Kock edges but the ball stays low and goes through the legs of Dhawan at slip for a four.

A couple of balls later, he sweeps the leg spinner from outside the off-stump through the gap at square leg for another boundary.

Slightly short from the leggie as de Kock punches it to sweeper cover for one and Malan easily flicks the googly off his pads for another run.

10 runs from Bishnoi's first over in ODIs.

South Africa are off to a good start as they take their score to 41 for no loss in 10 overs.

De Kock has made 21 from 25 balls, while Malan has looked a bit confident after a shaky start to score 19 from 35 balls.
