SA 249-4 (40/40 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Siraj is back into the attack. Miller, on 51, gets a lifeline as he fails to get hold of the pull shot but Gaikwad puts down a tough chance running in from deep midwicket.

Klaasen clips the next ball uppishly over square leg for two runs to raise the 100-run stand for the fifth wicket.

He tries the reverse paddle next ball but fails to connect before he makes room and slashes the slower bouncer over point for a four.

He is beaten next ball looking for the big hit and pulls the last ball for a single.

Avesh continues as Klaasen, on 64, looks for the big hit first ball but miscues it high on the leg side. Siraj running in from deep midwicket has enough time to judge it but he fails to hold on despite getting under the catch.

Miller skies the next ball high on the leg side and this time Bishnoi running to his right at deep square leg misses out on the chance as he fails to even to get to the ball.

Avesh's luck continues to go from bad to worse. This time Ishan Kishan messes up an easy stop at point to gift Miller a boundary.

Miller then deposits the short ball over midwicket for a six with the ball boy doing well to take a well-judged catch and gets a loud cheer from the crowd.

16 runs from the over as a luckless Avesh finishes with 51 runs from his eight overs.

South Africa have smashed 47 runs from the last five overs as they look on course to finish in excess of 250.

Leg-spinner Bishnoi to bowl the penultimate over. Miller is struck on the pads as he misses the flick for a leg bye and Klaasen mistimes the loft down the ground for two runs.

He plays an exquisite reverse sweep next ball, getting it over the fielder at short thirdman for a four.

Klaasen tries the same shot next ball but this time he fails to make good connection for a dot ball.

Just two singles from the last two balls as Bishnoi does well to give away just nine runs in the 39th over without a single boundary.

Siraj to bowl the final over. Miller swats the first ball and gets enough power on the shot, to clear the cover fence for a six.

Siraj beats the left-hander with a wide yorker but drives the next past point for two runs.

Siraj beats Miller again with the full wide delivery and he clips the fifth ball for just a single.

Klaasen misses out on the pull shot last ball for another dot ball as South Africa finish on 249/4 in their 40 overs.

Klaasen hit an unbeaten 74 from 65 balls, while Miller stroked 75 from 63 balls as the duo put on 139 runs for the fifth wicket to guide South Africa to safety after a difficult start on a tough wicket.

The match was reduced to 40-over per side after rain delayed the start by more than two hours.
