India 164-5 (33/40 ovs) vs SA 249-4 | Scorecard

Parnell is back into the attack. Samson guides the first ball to thirdman for a single and Thakur gets a leg bye next ball, after he is hit high on the pads.

Samson is beaten as he chases a wide delivery before taking another run to thirdman.

Thakur misses the incoming delivery and is hit high on the pads before he keeps out the last ball.

In the next over, Samson has a close shave. He comes down the track to Shamsi and looks to loft the spinner down the ground but gets an inside edge which saves him from the possible stumping.

Shamsi has another huge leg before wicket appeal turned down against Samson. He is quite confident but South Africa don't have any reviews left and wicketkeeper de Kock shows his disappointment.

Samson miscues the pull shot as it goes uppishly but falls in the gap at deep midwicket for just a single.

That appeal was much closer and the visitors will regret finishing off their reviews so quickly in Shamsi's previous over.

India need 92 from eight overs for victory but the two batters out in the middle don't look in any sort of rush.

Samson pulls the second ball from Parnell over midwicket for a four and chops the next on the bounce to point.

The next ball is a bit wide as Samson runs it fine on the off-side for another four.

Without much of a fuss, Samson is slowly looking to change gears and bring India back in the hunt.

He steers the fifth ball to thirdman for one and Thakur takes a single off the last ball.
