India elect to field vs Australia

India captain Hardik Pandya has won the toss and elected to field against Australia in the first ODI at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai.

With regular skipper Rohit Sharma unavailable, Shubman Gill partners Ishan Kishan at the top of the order.

Ravindra Jadeja is back in the playing XI as he partners Kuldeep Yadav, who is picked ahead of Yuzvendra Chahal, in a two-man spin attack.

K L Rahul will take over the gloves, while Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj are the three pacers.

For Australia, David Warner is not fully fit so Mitchell Marsh will take his place as the opener, while Josh Inglis replaces Alex Carey as the wicketkeeper.
