Salt, positioned to face the first delivery, plays it towards midwicket for no run. The ball goes in the air but lands safely, just short of the fielder, allowing Salt to scamper through for a single. With only one run conceded, the slip fielder is repositioned.

Sunil Narine, the man in form, wastes no time making his mark, smashing a boundary off the first ball he faces. However, he misses the next delivery as it sails over the stumps. Narine swings and misses again at the following ball. Managing to connect with the last delivery of the over, Narine collects a couple of runs.

After the initial over, KKR's score stands at 7-0.

Arshdeep takes up the bowling duties from the other end, with a slip in place for Salt. He begins with two dot balls, applying pressure on the batsmen. Salt manages to break the deadlock by driving one wide of mid-off for a single.

Narine, in his signature aggressive style, launches a massive six into the stands, delighting the crowd. A wide delivery down the leg side is called, followed by two consecutive wides, giving away easy runs. Narine capitalises on the loose deliveries, hitting a one-bounce four. However, he fails to connect with the last ball of the over, swinging and missing.

At the end of the second over, KKR's score jumps to 20-0, with 13 runs coming off the over.
