South Africa can breathe a sigh of relief! After a late onslaught from Liam Livingstone and Harry Brook threatened to snatch victory away, Nortje held his nerve in a thrilling final over to secure a hard-fought 7-run win for the Proteas.

This win propel South Africa to the top of Group 2.

The Proteas have shaken off their initial tentativeness and are now flying high!

Adil Rashid came into bowl, but Reeza Hendricks wasn't fazed, punching a single through the covers. De Kock, however, was in an aggressive mood. He confidently defended a delivery before unleashing a clinical cut for another single. De Kock brought up his magnificent fifty in style, the joint-quickest of the tournament so far, in just 22 balls! This is back-to-back fifties for the in-form opener, and he's dealing in boundaries. 

Hendricks joined the party with a single, and De Kock kept the momentum going with a couple towards midwicket. 

The over ended with another single, taking South Africa to a dominant 69-0 after 7 overs.

England captain Jos Buttler has revealed his decision to field first after winning the toss against South Africa in the T20 World Cup Super 8s match.

'We're going to bowl first today,' Buttler said. 'The wicket looks fresh and seems like a good batting surface. There might be a bit of early moisture, which could be helpful. We chased well in our last game, so we'll stick with that winning formula and field first again.'

He added, 'We're going in with the same team. Obviously, we want to manage Jofra Archer's workload carefully, but he's in good form and ready to contribute.'

Riding high on their dominant win against the West Indies, England's batting unit appears to be firing on all cylinders. They'll be looking to maintain their momentum when they take on a formidable South African bowling attack in a crucial Group-2 match of the T20 World Cup Super 8s in Gros Islet, St Lucia on Friday.

The stakes are high for both teams. Victory will effectively put the winner within touching distance of a semifinal berth in the marquee ICC event. South Africa, however, will be keen to bounce back after a narrow escape against a spirited USA side in their Super 8s opener.

With rain showing no signs of relenting, the umpires have called off the match.

Australia beat Bangladesh by 28 runs via the Duckworth-Lewis method.

Warner stroked 53 from 35 balls, while Maxwell made 14 from 6 balls as Australia raced to 100/2 in 11.2 overs before rain stopped play.

Australia were well ahead in the Duckworth-Lewis calculations too. The DLS par score was 72/2 after 11.2 overs which meant Australia were declared the winners.

Leggie Rishad to bowl his third over with Bangladesh needing the spinner to strike again.

Warner continues to be positive. He reverse sweeps the second ball, getting it over point for a four as the asking rate goes under six.

He clips the leggie through midwicket for a single before Maxwell whips the spinner against the turn over midwicket for a powerful shot which carries all the way for a six.

He slogs the next ball again through midwicket for two runs but misses out on a full toss last ball, driving it gently to the fielder at mid-off.

Warner raises his fifty in grand style from 34 balls as he flicks Taskin's full delivery over square leg for a six.

He pulls the next ball for a single on the bounce to square leg as Australia race to the 100-run mark in 11.2 overs.

The rain is back and this time it is quite heavy.

Mustafizur Rahman is back into the attack. The first ball is in the slot, full and wide, as Maxwell plays a superb front foot drive through the covers for a four.

Another short ball but this time Warner gets on top of the bounce to pull it over midwicket for the second four of the over.

The last ball is a slower ball on the pads as Warner taps it on the leg side for a single.

At the halfway mark, Australia well-placed on 80/2 in 10 overs, needing another 61 for victory from the remaining 10 overs.

Warner defends the first ball before he reverse sweeps the next as it goes fine on the off-side for a four to get off the mark in confident fashion followed by a single.

Head pushes forward to drive but inside edges the delivery going straight on, to the fielder at short fine leg and he blocks the last ball.

Cummins completes the hat-trick as Hridoy tries the ramp before mistimes the shot and is taken at short fine leg after a good knock of 40 from 28 balls.

Cummins has single-handedly triggered a collapse in the death overs with three quick wickets.

Tanzim Hasan gets off the mark with a single to long-on and Taskin hits the next on the leg side for two runs followed by one.

Tanzim picks a couple on the leg side to midwicket and takes one off the last ball.

Just seven runs from the final over as Australia manage to restrict Bangladesh to 140/8 in their 20 overs.

Cummins starred with the ball, picking up a hat-trick, to finish with excellent figures of 3/29 on a sluggish pitch not easy to get going.

Mahmudullah looks to pull Cummins but ends up dragging the slower ball back on to his stumps to be bowled for 2.

Mahedi Hasan perishes for a first-ball duck as he steers the short ball straight into the hands of the fielder at thirdman.

Five runs and two wickets for Cummins as Bangladesh slip to 122/7 in 18 overs.

Three wickets for 19 runs in the space of 12 balls has left Bangladesh in a spot of bother.

Hazlewood to bowl the penultimate over. Hridoy gets the first ball to thirdman for one and Taskin Ahmed clips the next fine off his pads for two runs to get off the mark.

He swings and misses next ball before he swats the fourth ball to deep midwicket for two more and the overthrow gets him a couple off the fifth ball.

Taskin smashes the last ball past the fielder in the covers for a four, to get 11 from the 19th over.

Hazlewood comes back for his second spell. Shakib hits the first ball through the covers for a single and Hridoy clips the pacer off his pads for another run to bring up Bangladesh's 100, in the 16th over.

Shakib mistimes the cut shot off the slower short ball as it falls safely on the off-side for another run.

Hridoy clips the last ball fine off his pads for two runs to get five from the over.

Stoinis comes back for a new spell and strikes with the first ball of his second over.

He gets Shakib caught and bowled for eight as Bangladesh slip to 103/5 in the 17th over.

Shakib looks to hit Stoinis on the leg side but miscues the slower ball high as the bowler completes an easy catch.

Hridoy picks the slower ball early to pull the short ball from Stoinis over midwicket for a six.

A freebie as Stoinis goes full on the pads as Hridoy makes most as he flicks it over square leg for the second six in a row.

However, he misses out on a full toss as he gently drives it to the fielder in the covers.

Despite the wicket, Stoinis goes for 14 runs in the over as Bangladesh look to seize the momentum in the final overs.

Singles from the first three balls followed by a wide and Shakib Al Hasan takes one as Cummins concedes just five from his second over.

Zampa to bowl his fourth and final over. Shakib clips the first ball fine off his pads for two runs and then takes one down to long-on.

The two batters take a single each before Hridoy slog sweeps the last ball through midwicket for a four.

Zampa gives away nine runs in his final over to finish with 2/24 from his four overs.

Bangladesh are 98/4 in 15 overs.

Zampa is back from the other end. He starts his new spell with a couple of dots to Hridoy, who then slog sweeps the leggie over midwicket for a four followed by a single.

Zampa leaves Bangladesh in strife as he gets Shanto leg before wicket. The Bangladesh captain, who made 41 from 36 balls, misses the sweep shot and is struck in front. Interestingly, he decides to walk off without taking the review as Bangladesh slip to 84/4 in 13 overs.

Bangladesh have struggled to 67/3 in 10 overs in the first half. They will look to get some momentum in the next 10 overs and try to target a total of around 150.

Starc, who took 1/18 in three overs in his first spell, is back into the attack.

Shanto is beaten first ball as he tries to cut before he misses the pull shot with the ball going fine his pads for two leg byes to thirdman.

He drives a full toss down to long-on for one before Starc tries the short ball to new batter Towhid Hridoy which is ruled a wide, who takes one off the last ball.

5 runs from the over, including two leg byes, as Starc ends with good figures of 1/21 from his four overs.

Maxwell continues from the other end. A single each to Hridoy and Shanto before the former rocks back to cut the short ball from Maxwell for two runs to deep point.

The right-hander drives the full delivery through the covers for another couple of runs wide of long-off and then takes one to get seven from Maxwell's second over.

Hossain comes down and attempts a big heave on the leg side but gets a thick outside edge to be caught at short thirdman for 2.

The move to promote Hossain to take on the bowlers hasn't worked for Bangladesh, who slip to 67/3 in 10 overs, losing two wickets for 10 runs in the last two overs.

Rishad Hossain promoted to No 4 attempts the slog sweep first ball but is beaten as the leg before shout is turned down.

He taps the fifth ball on the off-side and Shanto pulls the last ball for one.

Leg-spinner Adam Zampa comes into the attack. Litton nudges the first ball off his pads for a single and Shanto swats the next over midwicket for a four.

Litton struggling to get off the mark as he plays three dots in a row against Starc to make it nine balls in a row without scoring a run.

He finally gets a single off the 10th ball faced for his first run of the game. Shanto keeps strike with a quick run off the last ball.

Tanzid Hasan and Litton Das are the two openers for Bangladesh, while Mitchell Starc with the ball first up for Australia.

Starc looking for swing as he bowls full and outside the off-stump with left-hander Tanzid defending it watchfully on the off-side and the next ball is again a full yorker forcing the batter to defend.

Starc strikes with the early blow for Australia as Tanzid ends up dragging the full delivery back on to his stumps to be bowled for a duck. The ball goes off the toe end of the bat as Tanzid defends from the crease when he should have been well forward to the full delivery.

Najmul Shanto keeps out the first two balls he faces before he slashes the last ball over point for a four to get Bangladesh off the mark.

Welcome to the coverage of the T20 World Cup match between Australia and Bangladesh in Antigua on Friday.

Australia captain Mitchell Marsh has won the toss and elected to bowl against Bangladesh.

Australia have made a couple of changes as Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins, who rested against Scotland, come into the team in place of Ashton Agar and Nathan Ellis.
