India secured their place in the semifinals with a convincing 50-run victory. Bangladesh's chances of chasing down India's total of 197 was a major task for any team and India reciprocated with a professional bowling display.

A cautious start by Bangladesh in the powerplay put them behind the required run rate. The pitch softened, making strokeplay difficult as the spinners entered the attack. Shanto's brief fightback with a couple of sixes was contained by India's disciplined bowling. Kuldeep Yadav shone with a superb spell, while the rest of the bowlers executed their plans perfectly.

Sharp fielding, including some crucial catches, further restricted Bangladesh. Jasprit Bumrah continued his impressive form, solidifying India's position as a well-oiled unit suited to these conditions.

Hardik Pandya summarized the performance well with his insight on the game - " I did realise the batters wanted to use the breeze, I made sure I did not give them a chance where the wind was blowing, it was about being one step ahead as a batter. We as a group can get better in a lot of places, losing wickets in bunches is something we can rectify and get better at, apart from that, we are looking good."
