19:05   Toss: Delhi invite Royals to bat
Delhi Capitals win the toss and opt to bowl first against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.

Speaking at the toss, Rishabh Pant, who is playing his 100th IPL match, said, "The wicket looks fine. We wanted to use a wicket as dry as possible. Feels pretty good to play 100th match for the same franchise, but not thinking about that too much. (Last match) I think most of the concerns will be injury based. It was a very close match, if Ishant wouldn't have gotten injured, we could've gotten away with a win. Two changes: Ishant hasn't recovered and Shai has a back spasm. Mukesh Kumar and Anrich Nortje comes in."

Meanwhile, Royals skipper Sanju Samson said, "We would have also like to bowl first, expecting some dew later on in the game. Both pitches look similar. We're playing with the same side."

18:38   Rajasthan Royals host Delhi Capitals
Hello and welcome to the coverage of match no. 9 of the ongoing Indian Premier League season.

Not even a week has passed since the opener, and the tournament has already served up record-breaking clashes. In tonights contest at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, hosts Rajasthan Royals will take on Delhi Capitals.

While the Royals will enter the match on the back of a win, the Capitals will look to bounce back from their opening loss.

DC skipper Rishabh Pant will look to overcome his rustiness as the Capitals aim for an improved batting display in their bid for a first win of the IPL season tonight. Pant's much-anticipated return to action 453 days after he suffered grievous injuries in a horrific car accident, lasted just 13 balls (18 runs) with Punjab Kings winning by four wickets at their new home ground in Mullanpur.

Pant, though, displayed his usual lively demeanour behind the stumps and also effected the stumping of Jitesh Sharma.

Having overcome the early jitters and nervousness in his first game, Pant would be eager to regain his mojo quickly as his match-up against the likes of Trent Boult, Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal would be the highlight of the contest.

Delhi's spin duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel will have a bigger role to play after what was witnessed on a dry surface at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium the other day when Royals' opening duo of Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal faced some early hiccups against Lucknow Super Giants.

However, Sanju Samson struck an unbeaten 82 as the Royals won by 20 runs. By scoring a fifty in his team's first match of the season for the fifth successive time, Samson has become an early contender for the hotly-contested spot for the wicketkeeper-batter's slot in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

With Riyan Parag also among the runs, the Royals top-four will pose questions to the Delhi bowling lineup, and here's where Kuldeep and Axar's overs will be crucial in the middle.

In the ongoing season, the home teams hold an all-win record so far and the Royals will look to maintain the streak. Stay tuned as we bring you the updates of match no. 9. The toss will be held at 7:00pm IST.
