India 1st inns: 137-5 (47 ovs)

Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has his task cut out on a made-to-demand wicket. The pitch is offering a lot of bounce and turn to the spinners on day one itself and the India skipper will need to play a big innings to rescue India, after they were reduced to 119 for five after 40 overs.

In midst of it all, Pujara is showing great composure to stroke a fluent half-century.

Dhoni gets his first boundary as he drives a full delivery from Panesar through the cover region and in the next over punches a short ball from Swann past point.

Pujara on 62 gets a lifeline as the ball goes between James Anderson and Jonathan Trott in the slips. The bowler Panesar was already halfway into his celebration as he started running towards the off-side but was disappointed at that catch being grassed.

A vital let-off for India, who will now hope that Pujara can make most of this opportunity.
