India 1st inns: 18-1 (6 ovs)

England's pacers keep it just short and aiming at the batsman's ribs. India's batsmen are content to be watchful against the new ball, hoping to make merry when the pacers come on.

Sehwag and Pujara have steadied India after the early dismissal of Gambhir, in the first over.

India are 18 for one in six overs before they introduce spin in the form of Monty Panesar.

Pujara is holding forte on seven from 25 balls, while Sehwag is on six from 10 balls.

Anderson bowls a first spell of one wicket for nine runs in three overs.
