India 1st inns: 259-5 (67 ovs) vs NZ 1st inns: 365

India have scored 79 runs in 18 overs for the loss of one wicket in the post tea session so far.

Dhoni uses his wrist to good effect, finding the gap on the off-side to get two runs and hits the next ball straight to the fielder. The India captain tries to pull a short ball but fails to connect and gets a leg bye in the process.

Kohli shows his prowess as he rocks back and plays the pull shot to perfection for a boundary through square leg. The next ball is on the pads as Kohli plays it fine on the leg side to make it back to back boundaries.

He takes a single from the last ball as the partnership for the sixth wicket grows to 80 from 94 balls.

Franklin continues from the other end, bowling his gentle medium pacers. He holds no threat to Kohli, who helps himself to a maiden over.
