Cook gets his first boundary as he smashes a short wide delivery through the cover region as Ishant bowls a rank long hop. That boundary also brings up Cook's 500 run against India in ODIs at an average of 31. Three balls later Ishant again bowls wide and short and Cook gets a thick outside edge over the slips for another boundary. The ball continues to keep low as Cook misses with the cut shot.

The last delivery is a juicy half volley outside the off-stump and Cook crashes it through the covers for the third boundary of the over.

12 runs from that over as England reach 33 for no loss in six overs.
