 India 334-4 (85 ovs) vs Aus 517-7d | Scorecard

Johnson attempts a short ball but Kohli takes him and pulls it over midwicket for a four to inch closer to his hundred. He then turns it behind square on the leg side and comes back for two runs to take his score to 96.

Rohit plays a nice drive through the covers off the last ball to pick two runs.

Mitchell Marsh comes in to bowl with the second new ball ahead of Siddle. He plays his trademark flick through midwicket for a boundary to bring up his century, in some style, from 158 balls with the help of 12 fours.

Kohli is the third Indian to score a century on his captaincy debut after Vijay Hazare and Sunil Gavaskar.

This is Kohli's second century at Adelaide and fourth overseas out of seven centuries overall in Tests.

A good comeback from Kohli, who had struggled in England, with 134 runs in 10 innings.
