TEA - DAY 3

 India 223-3 (61 ovs) vs Aus 517-7d | Scorecard

Rahane is looking to be positive against Lyon. The off-spinner drops short and the right-hander is quick to rock back and hit it square on the off-side for a four. He tries the shot two balls later but this time extra bounce and turn beats him all ends up. Rahane is surely flirting with danger here, with tea break round the corner.

Kohli flicks Johnson through midwicket for three runs to inch closer to his half-century, just two runs away now.

Rahane steers the next delivery through point for a boundary before he defends the last two deliveries to end the second session.

At tea on Day 3, India have progressed to 223 for three in 61 overs with Kohli on 48 from 85 balls and Rahane on 19 from 36 balls.

Johnson tested the Indians a lot with his extra pace and bounce to claim one for 68 in 13 overs, while Lyon bowled a good spell for one for 63 in 17 overs.

Overall, India scored 104 runs in 29 overs in the post-lunch session for the loss of one wicket.
