STUMPS - DAY 4

Aus 290-5 (69 ovs) & 517-7d vs India 444 | Scorecard

Around 15 minutes to go for close of play, so it is unlikely that India will have to bat today.

Smith reverse sweeps Karn and manages to beat the fielder at point to get three runs. Haddin slaps the last ball, which is short and wide, through the covers for a boundary off the fifth ball but misses a full toss.

Rohit will continue as Smith reverses the first ball but it goes on the bounce to the keeper. He chips the next ball gently over the bowler and sprints across for two runs.

He then takes a single to bring up his half-century, from 59 deliveries to follow up on his century in the first innings.

Karn is struggling to check the flow of runs and he makes way for Ishant. He is mixing the pace quite well to keep Haddin and Smith down to singles for just two runs, in his 14th over.

Shami comes back and he has a chance to run out Haddin. Smith hit a drive down the ground as it hit the stumps at the other end with Haddin way out of his crease as Shami collected the ball but was unable to uproot the stumps with the bails already down.

Smith is unbeaten on 52 from 64 balls, with five boundaries, while Haddin has made 14 from 15 balls.
Haddin then turns Shami fine for a boundary as Australia end the day 290 for five for an overall lead of 363 runs.
