SA 87-1 (20 ovs) vs WI | Scorecard

Benn drops short as Amla punches it through the off-side for his first boundary of the innings, from the 41st ball he faced. Du Plessis takes two runs from the third ball and Amla gets another couple from the last ball through midwicket to get 10 runs from the over.

Du Plessis plays a nice flick through midwicket where the fielder half stops it for two runs. The pitch appears to be a bit slower than normal and the ball is not coming on to the bat as du Plessis finds out as he mistimes two drives off Russell.

Amla gets an edge off Benn but it goes through the vacant slip region for two runs as four runs come from the 18th over.

Darren Sammy comes into the attack to replace Russell, who bowled four overs for 23 runs.

Amla and du Plessis have been a lot busier in the last few overs, taking singles and twos off almost every delivery to ensure the scoreboard keeps ticking at a good rate.

The run rate is just above the four runs per over mark and South Africa would be content to continue at a steady rate for the next few overs and keep wickets in the hand for the end.

The umpires having a keen look at the ball and having a few words with West Indies captain Holder.

Benn concedes four runs in his fourth over as South Africa reach 87 for one in 20 overs, having scored 57 runs in the last 10 overs.

Amla (39) and du Plessis (31) have both got their eye in and would be keen to play as long as possible and put their team in with a good chance of getting a huge total.
