 Aus 253-6 (48 ovs) vs India 267-8 | Scorecard

The inexperienced Axar Patel to bowl the crucial 48th over in his first-ever match in Australia.

He starts with a dot ball to Haddin before Dhoni has a long discussion with him. Australia have scored seven runs from the last 19 balls as India inched their way back into the contest.

An extra fielder is placed on the leg side fence but Haddin makes room and slaps it through the covers for three runs.

Faulkner looks to play across the line but is beaten as the huge appeal for LBW is turned down. Haddin then steals a quick single on the off-side.

Faulkner attempts the sweep but misses and once again the loud appeal for LBW is turned down and the last ball is a dot. Faulkner is yet to get off the mark from six deliveries faced.

Australia are 253 for six in 48 overs, with 15 needed from two overs for victory.

A wonderful performance from Patel with the ball, taking one for 45 in 10 overs despite bowling a few overs at the death.
