SA 103-4 (42 ovs); Target: 310 | Scorecard

Amla punches an over-pitched delivery from Mishra through the covers for two runs and repeats the shot off the next ball for the same result. Mishra gets one to turn big, taking the edge as Amla defends but Ajinkya Rahane at first slip is unable to take the catch as the ball goes past him for a couple.

Ishant comes back as Jadeja gets a break after a long first spell on Day 3. Du Plessis gets the edge as he tries to defend but the ball hardly bounces and carries along the turf between first slip and keeper for a four.

Mishra is not enjoying any luck. Another edge off Amla goes very low to Rahane at first slip who is unable to get down in time and take, maybe it was a bit short too.

India have given their two-best bowlers a break as Ishant and Mishra operate in tandem with not much happening for the bowlers.

Infact, du Plessis is getting better with more time spent at the crease. Mishra drops one short as Faf goes back and cuts him through point for a four.

Kohli realises that the two batsmen are looking comfortable as he brings back Jadeja and Faf immediately gives him the charge and lofts him straight down the ground for a six to take South Africa past the 100-run mark, in the 42nd over.

Instantly, Ashwin comes in from the other end as there is a huge appeal for caught behind down the leg side off the first delivery but Faf survives with the umpire not interested.

South Africa are 103 for four in 42 overs, with Amla on 28 from 83 balls and du Plessis on 21 from 58 balls with the duo having added 45 runs for the fifth wicket so far.
