Ashwin dismisses AB de Villiers, SA's batting woes continue
November 27, 2015  10:33

SA 71-4 (31 ovs); Target: 310 | Scorecard

Ashwin has three wickets from 11 overs, but Jadeja is yet to strike from eight overs. He nearly gets his first wicket as Amla goes for the cut shot but is beaten.

A fully packed leg-side field for Ashwin against Amla and Faf du Plessis, with just two fielders on the off-side in silly point and mid-off. Amla manages to get off strike with a single to square leg after Faf had taken one to midwicket from the first ball.

Faf is looking much more assured than he has ever looked in this series so far. He turns the third ball from Jadeja through midwicket for two runs before confidently defending the rest of the over.

Amla plays a wonderful shot through the covers as Ashwin bowls it full with slight width for a boundary before he is given a break after the over and makes way for leg-spinner Amit Mishra.

He gets Amla to edge the very first delivery but Saha (13) is unable to get his gloves to it as the tough chance goes down before he takes a single from the last ball of the over.

The first hour has gone India's way as South Africa lost two wickets for 39 runs in 17 overs to be reduced to 71 for four in 31 overs, still needing another 239 runs for victory with six wickets in hand.
