SA 187-2 (27 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

No stopping de Kock as he sweeps Mishra powerfully past the fielder at leg slip for another four. He tries the same shot off the next ball but fails to make connection.

Part-timer Suresh Raina comes into the attack. He makes a tidy start, giving away just four singles in his first over.

At the halfway stage, South Africa continue to progress at a good rate, scoring 176 for one in 25 overs for a scoring rate of more than seven per over.

Mishra drops short as du Plessis pulls it over midwicket for a four. He tries to repeat the shot and fails to get hold of it but Rahane at midwicket puts down a regulation catch.

Du Plessis (45) also gets a lifeline and yet again the unfortunate bowler was Mishra. Earlier, de Kock was put down and he made India pay dearly for the lapse.

Dropping catches on such a good batting wicket can prove to be lethal and very demoralising for the bowlers.

But Raina makes the breakthrough in the next over. De Kock hits it straight down the throat of Kohli at long-off to walk back after a superb innings of 109 from 87 balls, having hit 17 fours and a six.

He laid the foundation for South Africa in their quest for a huge total, putting on 154 runs from 137 balls for the second wicket with du Plessis.
