India 480-7 (147 ovs) vs England 400 | Scorecard

India are looking to be positive and keep the runs coming as they aim to extend their lead on Day 4.

Three singles in Ball's second over of the day, before Jayant plays another beautiful shot, a straight drive past the bowler Rashid and mid-off for a four.

As expected, Rashid drops it short and Jayant is waiting on the backfoot but gets just a single to fine leg.

India have scored 23 runs in four overs of the morning session to take the score to 474 for seven in 146 overs.

Jayant is getting runs for India in the morning, and getting them at a good rate. He opens the face and steers a wide delivery from Ball through point for a four before a single brings him his second half-century in just three Tests. He has looked quite capable with the bat and has been equally comfortable against both spinners and pacers. Remember, he bats up the order for his state side Haryana in domestic cricket.

103 balls, with seven fours.
