India 616-6 (171 ovs) vs England 477 | Scorecard

With the double century out of the way, Karun is looking to break free as he smashes a short delivery through the covers for a four. Another couple of singles later in the over takes India past the 600-run mark, in the 168th over.

Stuart Broad comes into the attack as England take the third new ball. Ashwin hits the second ball through the point region for a four as the all-rounder becomes the fifth cricketer to take 25 wickets and score 300 runs in a series.

India have upped the ante with 24 runs coming from the first four overs of the post-tea session.

And the flow of runs continue. Jake Ball comes into the attack and he starts off with a short ball and a fielder employed behind the wicketkeeper to stop Karun playing the ramp shot.

The first ball as expected is short as Karun plays a tennis forehand through midwicket for a four. The next ball is again short as Karun pulls it through the vacant mid-on region for three runs.

Joe Root stationed on the boundary behind the keeper is not impressed as Ashwin pulls a bouncer to fine leg for one.

Finally, better sense prevails as Root is called into the circle and placed at first slip.

England finally make the breakthrough as Ashwin is brilliantly caught by Jos Buttler, who takes a stunning one-handed catch to his left at point.

Ashwin walks back after a good innings of 67, after he had put on 181 runs for the sixth wicket with Nair to swell India's lead.

New batsman Ravindra Jadeja gets a quick bouncer first up which he does well to sway out of the way of.
