West Indies win by five wickets

West Indies 149/5 (48.5 overs) vs India (145 all out)

It's all over in Dhaka. Carty and Paul keep their calm to guide West Indies to their maiden title at U-19 World Cup as they beat favourites India by 5 wickets and three balls to spare.

The Indians will be disappointed as they dropped 4 catches in the match.

What stood out in WI's title winning feat in Bangladesh, was the way their two fast bowlers Alzarri Joseph and Chemar Holder have dominated the opposition with their pace. While the batsmen have held their nerves during pressure situations to guide the team home.

At a time when the senior team is embroiled in a tiff with the West Indies board, this victory proves that all is not wrong with the Caribbean cricket.
