India 126-1 (37 ovs) vs WI 196 | Scorecard

Welcome to the coverage of Day 2 of the second Test match between West Indies and India in Jamaica, on Sunday.

India would be looking to consolidate their strong position from Day 1 and further extend their domination in the match.

After electing to bat, West Indies folded for a paltry 196 and also failed to make an impression with India scoring 126 for one in 37 overs.

Ravichandran Ashwin showed why he is ranked the No. 1 Test bowler in the world as he claimed five for 52 to send the West Indies crashing for a low total.

He has claimed successive five wicket hauls in the first and second Test, taking his career tally to 188 wickets in 34 Tests.

KL Rahul, who came in for the injured Murali Vijay, made most of the opportunity as he stroked a fluent 75 not out to give India a superb start.

They would be looking for a huge first innings total and ensure that they will not need to bat again in this match and push for another innings victory.
