India 17-0 (5 ovs) vs WI 196 | Scorecard

India have a new opening pair as Shikhar Dhawan walks out with KL Rahul, who replaced the injured Murali Vijay.

Rahul on strike against pacer Shannon Gabriel. The India opener gets off the mark with a boundary as he punches a full delivery past mid-on for a four.

Gabriel bowls a sharp bouncer as Rahul awkwardly ducks under it and is lucky to have got out of the way. The last ball is full as the right-hander is struck on the pads but the appeal is turned down.

Debutant Cummins, who played a handy knock with the bat, will share the new ball. Dhawan gets off the mark from the fourth with a single before Rahul is beaten outside the off-stump by the outswinger.

Dhawan picks another single off Gabriel before Rahul gets another quick bouncer from the pacer which he ducks under before taking one.

Rahul plays a nice drive through the covers off Cummins for two runs before taking a quiet single.

If West Indies don't strike early with the new ball, they will find it hard later with the older ball against India's quality batting line-up.

Rahul plays a nice drive through the vacant mid-on region for three runs before Dhawan crashes a short wide delivery over the point region for a four but is beaten off the last ball which is a lot fuller.

India are off to a good start as they reach 17 for no loss in five overs.
