Ashwin strikes in first over, Guptill out for 6

New Zealand have a potent opening combination in Kane Williamson and Martin Guptill as India open the bowling with off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin against the two right-handers.

The first ball is flighted up and Guptill wastes no time in lofting back over Ashwin's head for a straight six to get the innings off in smashing fashion.

Guptill looks to sweep the next delivery but misses and is trapped leg before wicket as he walks back for a six.

Colin Munro also decides to target Ashwin in the very first over as he reverse sweeps the second ball he faces, for a flat six over point. The next ball is smashed through the covers but Hardik Pandya makes a good diving stop to save some runs.

Williamson is beaten off the last ball as he looks to steer it to thirdman but is beaten as NZ score 13 runs from a dramatic first over.
