March 15, 2016  19:07
New Zealand captain Kane Williamson has won the toss and elected to bat against India in the opening match of the World T20 in Nagpur.

New Zealand have made a brave decision to field three spinners against India, leaving out the pacers Mitchell McClenaghan, Tim Southee and Trent Boult.

Nathan McCullum, Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi are the three frontline spinners for the visitors.

On the other hand, India have decided to play their settled combination, which means Hardik Pandya is the preferred all-rounder which means veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh is omitted yet again.
