Eng 56-0 (3 ovs) vs SA 229-4 |  Scorecard

England out of the blocks in smashing fashion and it is young pacer Kagiso Rabada, who suffers in the very first over of the innings.

Jason Roy starts the England innings with two consecutive fours before Rabada bowls a high bouncer which goes over the keeper for five wides. Roy adds another couple of boundaries in the over as Rabada is hit for 21 runs in his first over, including the four fours hit by Roy.

Dale Steyn to bowl the second over. Alex Hales hits the first ball straight to Kyle Abbott at short fine leg who fails to take the catch and also gives away a four. Hales makes most of the reprieve as he flicks Steyn for back to back boundaries before Roy lofts the fift ball down the ground for a four and flicks the last ball over fine leg for a six.

Roy has smashed 26 from just eight balls, inclusive of five fours and a six, while Hales has hit 13 from four balls as England race to 44 for no loss in two overs. What an amazing start to the run chase and the Wankhede crowd look set for another huge run feast!

Abbott replaces Rabada and he is under the attack right away as Hales pulls the first ball for a four. But the pacer gets revenge, getting Hales leg before wicket for 17 before no stopping Roy at the other end, who heaves the fifth ball from Abbott over midwicket for a six.

England are off to a smashing start as they race to 56 for one in three overs with Roy hitting 33 from 10 balls.
