March 30, 2016  22:16
Scorecard:

England: 159-3 (17.1 overs)
New Zealand: 153-8

England thrashed New Zealand by seven wickets, with almost three overs to spare, to make it to the final of the ICC World T20.

Jason Roy played a starring role with a 44-ball 78, and was named the player of the match.

Joe Root (28 not out) and Jos Buttler (32 not out) then ensured England made it past the line without much ado with an uneaten 49-run stand (off 29 balls) for the fourth wicket.

England, champions in 2010, will face either hosts India or 2012 winners West Indies in the final at the Eden Gardens on Sunday.

India and West Indies play in the second semi-final at the Wankhede tomorrow.
