Scorecard:

England: 159-3 (17.1 overs)
New Zealand: 153-8

England thrashed New Zealand by seven wickets, with almost three overs to spare, to make it to the final of the ICC World T20.

Jason Roy played a starring role with a 44-ball 78.

England, champions in 2010, will face either hosts India or 2012 winners West Indies in the final at the Eden Gardens on Sunday.

Root and Buttler aren't taking any unnecessary risks. They need less than a run a ball in any case.

Sodhi (4-0-42-2) to bowl the 17th over. Root (27 not out) helps himself to a couple of boundaries in the over before Buttler smashes a couple of straight sixes.

England need two more. They have more than three overs left.

And Buttler (32 not out) seals it with a six off Santner.
