All-rounder Hardik Pandya comes into the attack. West Indies are not going down without a fight as Charles swings Pandya over midwicket for a four to get eight runs from the eighth over.

Charles takes on Ashwin in his next over. He lofts the first ball over midwicket for a six before hitting the third ball over the same region for a four.

Simmons steps out to the last ball and lofts it over the covers as Jadeja does well to keep it down to two with Ashwin conceding 13 runs, he has given away 20 in two overs.

Charles and Simmons have launched a good counter-attack, putting on 50 runs for the third wicket from 34 balls.

Pandya starts his second over with a slow bouncer which deceives Charles. He has a swing at the next ball but gets a thick outside edge which flies over thirdman for a six. He tries a bouncer which Charles pulls over short fine leg for a boundary.

At the halfway stage, West Indies have recovered to reach 84 for two in 10 overs, needing 109 runs from the remaining 10 overs for victory. Interestingly, India were 86 for one at the same stage.

Charles has smashed his way to 45 from 28 balls, while Simmons has hit 23 from 20 balls.
