Gujarat 17-1 (3 ovs) vs Delhi

Delhi open the bowling with left-arm spinner Shahzad Nadeem as Gujarat continue their openers -- the swashbuckling duo of Dwayne Smith and Brendon McCullum.

The third ball is down the leg side as Smith nudges it fine on the leg side to get off the mark with a boundary.

Brendon McCullum survives a huge shout for LBW off the last delivery of the over with the umpire ruling that the Kiwi got some bat on it. That was a big let-off for McCullum.

Chris Morris to bowl the second over. The first ball is on the pads as Smith hits it through the leg side for a four. Three balls later he punches a full delivery down the ground past mid-off for another boundary as nine come from the second over.

Zaheer Khan comes into the attack after just one over from Nadeem. The veteran pacer strikes in his very first over with the wicket of McCullum, who is bowled for one.

The right-hander went for a wild swing on the leg side but misses it completely and is dismissed for one.

Perfect start from captain Zaheer, who makes the breakthrough in his opening over, while conceding just three runs.
