Kolkata 57-4 (10 ovs) vs Gujarat | Scorecard

The struggling KKR get a lifeline as Shakib is put down on the thirdman fence by Pravin Tambe, who does well to run to his right and get to the ball but fails to hold on.

Another wicket at this stage would have it more difficult for KKR as they look to rebuild after a horror stage with their top four batsmen falling cheaply within the first six overs.

Medium pacer Smith continues as Shakib and Pathan look to keep the scoreboard busy with singles as the field has spread around at the end of the Powerplay.

Smith bowls a half volley on the stumps which Shakib clips square for a four and is nearly square up off the next ball but somehow keeps it out.

Dwayne Bravo makes a good start, giving away two, as Gujarat keep their pacers in operation considering the early damage done by the fast bowlers with the new ball.

Mystery spinner Shivil Kaushik comes into the attack. Yusuf Pathan targets him straightaway as he lofts the third ball straight down the ground for a six and then smashes the next through the covers for a four.

KKR have recovered slightly to reach 57 for four in 10 overs with Shakib on 13 from 19 balls and Pathan on 19 from 11 balls.
