LUNCH - DAY 5

England 211-2 (66 ovs) & 537 vs India 488 | Scorecard

Captain Cook continues his superb run in India, hitting 106 not out to take England to 211 for two in 66 overs at the lunch break on the final day, to stretch their lead to 260 runs with two sessions left in the match.

England were once again untroubled with the bat as the openers put on 180 for the first wicket before the young Hameed was caught and bowled by Mishra for 82.

Joe Root tried to attack the Indian bowlers but got a top edge and was caught by Saha off Mishra for four.

Once again, it was a hard struggle for the Indian bowlers, with only Mishra taking two wickets to bring some relief for the hosts.

Ashwin and Jadeja, who bowled 19 and 15 overs respectively, went wicketless.

England have made their intentions clear by sending Stokes at No. 4, who is unbeaten on six. They will surely look to play some shots after the lunch break and give India around 50 overs to survive.
