Despite captain Kane Williamson's 118, New Zealand managed only a modest 242 for nine in their 50 overs on a flat wicket at the Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi.

At one stage, the Kiwis were looking well placed on 115 for one after 20 overs but lost their way courtesy of regular wickets in the middle overs.

Jasprit Bumrah chipped away at the wickets in the final overs to finish with wonderful figures of three for 35, while Amit Mishra claimed three for 60.

It was another poor batting performance from New Zealand especially towards the end as they lost six wickets for 40 runs in the last 10 overs.
